Wine tourism at Samperi

Visit our cellar in Marsala

The guided tours last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and can be booked from Monday to Friday, by reservation only, at a time to be agreed with the winery’s staff, in the morning, between 10-11 am, and in the afternoon, between 3-3.30 pm (starting hour of the tour). These times are for information only and each tour must be agreed in advance with the winery’s staff.

During the guided tour, from vineyard to cellar, the different stages of production of our table wines, sparkling wines and marsalas will be explained. The tour will end with a professional tasting of our most representative wines, accompanied by local traditional bread or crackers (eventually gluten free).

In order to reserve your seat at Samperi, please check times and dates availability on the calendar and book your tour using the calendar below. Tours are organized in English, French and Spanish as well. The reservation is considered accepted only after you receive a confirmation email from the winery’s staff. In the unlucky event you cannot take part to a tour previously booked, we kindly ask you to promptly inform us. How to reach our cellar in Marsala – Samperi

With your smartphone or GPS:

If you own a smartphone, please follow the directions on Google Maps, inserting “Marco De Bartoli – Samperi” in the search box.

If you’re using a GPS, please DON’T use the winery address. Use instead the following coordinates: 37.735630, 12.539073.

Once reached the destination, please drive along the tiny road leading to the winery. At the end of that road, turn left and park your car. Next to the entrance gate you will see a ceramic sign indicating “Vecchio Samperi”.

 

FROM MARSALA – Samperi cellar is located 14 km (9 miles) far from downtown Marsala and you will need a vehicle to reach the area. It will take approximately 20 minutes to reach the winery.

If you don’t have a GPS, follow the National Road SS 115 – E 931, direction Mazara del Vallo.

At the second traffic light turn left into Contrada Ponte Fiumarella and go straight for about 9 km (5.5 miles). Next to the church of Santo Padre (on your left side), you’ll pass a crossing and follow straight for 1.5 km more. You will pass a small rectangular building (a transformer kiosk), on your right, while on your left you will see a brown sign indicating the winery. Immediately after turn right into the tiny road leading to the winery.

At the end of that road, please turn left and park your car. Next to the gate you will see a ceramic sign indicating “Vecchio Samperi”.

FROM MAZARA DEL VALLO – Samperi cellar is located about 10 km (6 miles) far from Mazara del Vallo and you will need a vehicle to reach the area. It will take approximately 20 minutes to reach the winery.

If you don’t have a GPS, follow the National Road SS 115 – E 931, direction Marsala. Drive along the National Road and pass, respectively, Baglio Basile hotel and a big supermarket, both on your left. Follow the directions to the Ospital. Reaching SP 53 and the stretch of the road called Via Mannone, follow straight up to the crossing. Turn right, pass the Santo Padre church (on your left) and at the following crossing go straight for 1.5 km (1 mile). You will pass a small rectangular building (a transformer kiosk), on your right, while on your left you will see a brown sign indicating the winery. Immediately after turn right into the tiny road leading to the winery.

At the end of that road, please turn left and park your car. Next to the winery gate you will see a ceramic sign indicating “Vecchio Samperi”.

FROM TRAPANI – Samperi cellar is located about 40 km (25 miles) far from Trapani and you will need a vehicle to reach the area. It will take approximately 45 minutes to reach the winery.

If you don’t have a GPS, follow the motorway A 29 dir – E 90, direction Birgi Airport. Leaving the motorway, turn right into SP 21, direction Marsala/Birgi Airport. After about 3 km (2 miles), at the traffic circle, take the third exit onto Scorrimento Veloce Trapani-Marsala. After about 13 km (8 miles) turn right onto National Road SS 188 and, after 1 km, that is 0.6 miles, turn left (follow the sign for Zicaffé). Go straight that road and at the crossing, turn left up to the traffic circle, where you will take the second exit. Follow straight that road (Contrada Scacciaiazzo), up to the end (you will pass Disio resort, on your left). Turn right into SP 53 and follow that road up to the third crossing.

FROM PALERMO – Samperi cellar is located about 140 km (87.5 miles) far from Palermo and you will need a vehicle to reach the area. It will take approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach the winery.

If you don’t have a GPS, follow the A 29 dir – E 90, direction Mazara del Vallo. Stay on this road for about 60 km (37.5 miles). Take the exit to Trapani and follow A 29 dir for about 42 km (26 miles). Leaving the motorway, turn right into SP 21, direction Marsala/Aeroporto Birgi. After about 3 km (2 miles), at the traffic circle, take the third exit onto Scorrimento Veloce Trapani-Marsala. After about 13 km (8 miles) turn right onto National Road SS 188 and, after 1 km, that is 0.6 miles, turn left (follow the sign for Zicaffé).
