Chocolatl (chocolate), the blood of Gods

The beautiful set of the baroque city of Modica, listed by the Unesco in the World Heritage, will host one of a kind culinary and spectacular event, dedicated to the peculiar tradition of this place: artisanal chocolate, prepared in the Aztec way.

On June 16, the natural panoramic theatre of Cava Pietra Franco will host the very first Metate Symposium Banquet Show©, a dinner and a show with two of the most unique personalities of the international culinary scene: the enfant terrible of chocolate, the Dutch Dominique Persoone, and the local wandering and acting chef Carmelo Chiaramonte .

The event will interwine a theatrical and musical performance with a dinner based on the union of cocoa and the Sicilian cuisine, declined in its most unusual expressions.
